Are you looking for a great Ukrainian dance opportunity? Are you looking to improve your skills and learn more about Ukrainian Culture? Are you age 13 or older? If so, then "Dancing a Common Kolomeyka" presented by the Ukrainian Canadian Congress Saskatchewan Provincial Council is the perfect opportunity for you and your friends.
A special workshop is set to take place at the St. Therese Institute of Faith and Mission in Bruno, Saskatchewan. The weekend kicks off on Friday, August 26 at 3:30 p.m. and ends on Sunday, August 28 around 12:00 p.m. Serhij Koroliuk is the instructor for the weekend and with his wealth of knowledge and expertise, the weekend is sure to be something fans of Ukrainian dance will talk about for a long time.
Students will have the opportunity to develop dance technique as well as to learn more about the tradition of the Kolomeyka and how it has evolved in Saskatchewan.
Who doesn't love the Kolomeyka? The weekend will be a great outlet to meet new people, all with a common interest in Ukrainian dance and culture. This is definitely going to be an unforgettable weekend. Those interested are encouraged to bring their friends to share the experience.
