The Yorkton Aquabatix competitive synchronized swimmers recently attended a competition in Regina.
Two teams and two solos represented Yorkton at the meet where Yorkton placed first in routine and first in championship in the 12 and under team event. Team members include Mikayla Walker, Jessica Lewthwaite, Amy Hovdestad, Tracy Rowley, Madison Neufeld, Mackenzie Dull and alternate Lexie Mireau.
Yorkton also placed first in routine and first in championship in the eight and under team event. Team members include Katelynne Hoffman, Chloe Popoff, Mackenzie Dull, Keauna Heimbecker, Syndney Hovdestad, and Cassidy Lake.
Madison Neufeld placed second in routine and third in championship in the 12 and under solo event.
Top six figure placings include: Chloe Popoff first (8 and under); Keauna Heimbecker second (8 and under); Katelynne Hoffman third (8 and under), Madison Neufeld fifth (12 and under), Jessica Lew-thwaite third (13 - 15).
Coaches for the teams are Michelle Hoffman, Mona Perepeluk, and Brittany Morin.
The next meet for the Aquabatix team is Provincials which will be held in Saskatoon in April.
