To the Editor: I am surprised that I am the only person who sees criminal negligence by the fire chief and council at Slave Lake.
If I was the mayor, Slave Lake would have been peaceful and intact today. Not intelligence but common sense, dictates you do not have hazardous fuel ie: a spruce forest within three miles of your back door. I would have insured that ergo no fire.
Scores of communities in the north are sitting adjacent to these fuel bombs waiting their turn for ignition. Will they ever learn and act accordingly?
