The votes have been tallied and on the list of finalists is Yorkton business owner Justin Yawney.
Four young business owners from across Saskatchewan have been selected and will now compete for the $5,000 cash prize that will be awarded at this year's SYPE Silver Spades Gala.
"The high calibre of this year's entries for the Volta award shows that young business owners in Saskatchewan are succeeding and taking advantage of the opportunities available in our province," says Enterprise Minister Jeremy Harrison. "Our goal is to encourage more young people to be entrepreneurs and bring fresh and interesting ideas into the Saskatchewan market."
The four finalists were chosen from a list of 32 applicants. The prize winner will be determined by a combination of Facebook votes and a SYPE selection committee. The finalists are:
Kalen Emsley and David Luba, owners of Ten Tree Apparel in Regina; Justin Yawney, owner of Yorkton Plumbing and Heating in Yorkton; Jeremy and Irina Hartsook, owners of HES Manufacturing in Eston.
