The Yorkton Business Improvement District has seen some changes to the bylaw detailing their operations.

First, there will be an annual general meeting, and the board of directors for YBID will now be elected.

Second, surplus funds will either be allocated to a project or used to reduce the levy required in the next year.

Third, they will no longer be restricted to a $100,000 cap on the amount raised through the levy. The $100,000 grant provided by the city will remain the same.

Finally, the YBID map has been revised, and will now include properties on Dracup Avenue as well as lands currently owned by the city adjacent to the Gallagher Centre.
