The past weekend saw Yorkton drop two road games and finally break out of their slump with a decisive win Sunday afternoon.

Friday night the Prince Albert (P.A.) Mintos outshot the Harvest on the way to a 6-1 win at the Art Hauser Centre Arena.

Prince Albert marks-men were Andrew Manson who scored a pair of goals, Jason Duret, Brennen Bosovich, Tyson Dallman, and Adam Fauchoux who each contributed a goal.

Yorkton's lone goal of the game was scored by Tanner LeSann assisted by Roddy Sewap and Tyson Haas.

Saturday the Saskatoon Contacts put together a four goal third period to down the Harvest 6-3 at the Schroh Arena.

Taylor Reich opened the scoring for Saskatoon with a pair of goals one in each of the first and second periods to give the Contacts a two goal edge.

Levi Cable pulled the Harvest within one with a powerplay goal, his first of two goals for the night, assisted by Denin Boesch and Dustin Skilliter.

Colton Olynuk started Saskatoon's third period scoring spree with a single handed, short handed goal.

Cody Pangracz added the third goal for the Contacts.

Devan Fafard notched Yorkton's second goal midway through the third period assisted by LeSann.

Carson Stadnyk and Taylor Leier each scored on to cap Saskatoon scoring at six goals.

Cable added his second goal of the game, a solo short handed effort for Yorkton's third goal of the game.

Sunday evening the Harvest exploded for eight unanswered goals to shut out the Saskatoon Blazers 8-0 at the Harold Latrace Arena. Yorkton's powerplay unit was in its element scoring on five of the team's six opportunities.

Yorkton opened with a three goal first period while holding the Blazers off the scoreboard.

Skilliter opened the scoring for Yorkton with an early first period powerplay marker assisted by Cable and Boesch.

Cable chipped in Yorkton's second goal assisted by Fafard and Rylan Badduke.

Skilliter made it 3-0 with his second of the game assisted by Cable and Boesch to hand Yorkton a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes.

Kade Halabuza scored the lone second period goal to hand Yorkton a four goal margin assisted by Gage Rapitta and LeSann.

A four goal third period decisively put the game away for the Harvest.

LeSann opened third period scoring with a powerplay goal assisted by Rapitta.

Fafard added a powerplay goal to make it 6-0 assisted by Ben Johnstone and Halabuza.

Rapitta scored Yorkton's seventh goal assisted by Johnstone and Boesch.

Cable's solo marker capped game scoring to give Yorkton an 8-0 shutout win.

Harvest netminder Kale Thomson turned aside 31 scoring attempts by the Blazers to earn the shutout and game star title.
