The annual Men's Bonspiel wound up the current season at the Yorkton Curling Club (YCC). YCC manager Neil Weinmaster says 16 teams took to the ice in the annual event.
Local teams were joined by teams visiting teams for some good curling competition, Weinmaster reports.
In addition to the curling the YCC presented the Cambrian Cup of Excellence to the junior curler of the year. This year the title went to Leta Perepeluk.
Weinmaster expressed the club's appreciation to the sponsors of the event who helped to make the bonspiel a success.
A-event, the BMO Nesbitt Burns event winners were the Adam foursome of skip Gerry Adam, third Bryan Derbowka, second Ron Kaban, lead Tim Szabo.
The B event, the York-ton Implement Dealers event, was won by the McIntyre team of skip Mike McIntyre, third Ray Sharp, second Tom McIntyre, lead Grant Laycock.
The Folk rink of skip Larry Folk, third Bernie Surkan, second Trevor Mackan, lead Derrick Kruk claimed C event, sponsored by Cymbob's Indoor Golf.
The Lonnie Kelly foursome of skip Lonnie Kelly, third Randy Sharp, second Peter Fedorchuk, lead Kelly Fiege captured the D event, sponsored by Morris Industries.
