The Yorkton Novice Carded B and K Trucking Terriers came home the A-side champs after attending an eight team Novice Tier 1 Tournament in Weyburn recently.
The Novice Terriers played three games Saturday, coming out strong and defeating the Regina Wild 6-3. They went on to defeat the Melville Millionaires 16-1 and after playing a hard fought third game, tied the South East Rangers 4-4.
Sunday, Yorkton squared off against the Weyburn Whalers for the A-side semi-final and came out on top with a 7-3 win.
The Terriers faced the South East Rangers for a second time fighting for the A-side final, winning 1-0 to capture the tournament championship.
