Yorkton United FC Storm Under-10 went undefeated with a 3-0 record at the recent Regina QC Breakaway Tournament .
The Storm opened the tourney with a tight 3-2 decision over Regina ACFC on Friday night.
They followed up with a convincing 4-0 decision over Regina UCT early Saturday morning. It was a game head coach Mike Jakubiec says could have been worse. "We hit multiple posts and the UCT keeper played well too, keeping his team in it. Our missed opportunities in this game came back to haunt us in the end." Jakubiec was referring to the Saturday night round robin finale that saw the Storm win 3-1 over REU.
The Storm needed to win by four or more goals in order to quality for Sunday's gold medal game.
The Storm will take a four game winning streak back into Regina in early December when they compete in the REU RAZZ tournament.
