YRHS Awards Night recognizes athletes

At the recent YRHS Awards Night, student athletes from the school were recognized for their dedication to athletics and their achievements over the past year. The award winners are as follows.

AVERY WESTBERG received the Cross Country award and the Female Athlete of the Year award for Grade 12 at the recent YRHS Awards Night. Westberg was also recognized as the most decorated athlete in the school's history, with 8 gold medals in cross country and track, and also for being part of the team which brought YRHS its first provincial team cross country gold.

At the recent YRHS Awards Night, student athletes from the school were recognized for their dedication to athletics and their achievements over the past year. The award winners are as follows.

Cross Country Award - Avery Westberg

Athletes of the Year:

Female Athlete of the Year: Grade 9 - Rachael Machnee, Grade 10 - Brandey Blahut, Grade 11 - Raelene Nagy. Grade 12 - Avery Westberg.

Male Athlete of the Year: Grade 9 - Graham Campbell. Grade 10 - Daniel Mandziuk and Matthijs Wenning. Grade 11 - Stephen Hutton and Paul Toth. Grade 12 - Dalton Bakke.
