Canora Fire & District Fire Rescue looking forward to improved rescue capability with new battery operated hydraulic extrication equipment.

The Canora/Sturgis RCMP stopped a vehicle in Sturgis, and the driver of the vehicle had arrest warrants out of Ontario. The Ontario Provincial Police was contacted and the driver was later released from custody.

The charges stem from an incident where a woman threatened to injure two other women before driving toward them on Highway 49 in Preeceville, striking one of them.
