Groundhog Day

While at the Canora Children’s Centre on Friday, Hunter and Sage Nehaj found a couple stuffed animals that they used as substitutes for groundhogs so that they could see if the animals would be able to see their shadows. They were told that according to folklore, if the groundhog sees its shadow on February 2, then it would go back underground for another six weeks. If it did not see its shadow, that would mean everyone would be treated to an early spring.
