Norquay horticulture show attracts 13 exhibitors

The Norquay Horticultural Show was held at the Norquay Communiplex on August 12. A total of 13 exhibitors submitted 227 entries for the event which was judged by Karen Leis of Runnymede, a qualified Saskatchewan Horticultural Association judge.

The Norquay Horticultural Show was held at the Norquay Communiplex on August 12.

A total of 13 exhibitors submitted 227 entries for the event which was judged by Karen Leis of Runnymede, a qualified Saskatchewan Horticultural Association judge.

At the age of five, William Howard was the youngest competitor. The oldest exhibitors were Helen Heskin and Carrie Bork, who are both in their nineties.

The entries consisted of flower arrangements, assorted garden vegetables, baking displays, herb and grain collections and rural and urban ground displays. Trophies and cash were distributed to the winners of each category.
