Outlook Regional Park Sets Free Summer Events

Saturday programming being offered through July/August

Those who came out last summer to enjoy the free programming events put on by the Outlook & District Regional Park should be happy to learn that the park has unveiled the schedule for this year’s list of activities and presentations.

Taking place in July and August, the family-friendly events will all take place on Saturdays at 1:00 pm in the performance bowl of the park, which is the area located just behind the old swimming pool.  It is recommended to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to sit on for presentations, and kids must be supervised by an adult.

The schedule of events goes as follows:

July 7 – A presentation on birds of prey by the Saskatchewan Falconers Club
July 14 – A presentation on vultures and shore birds by Nature Saskatchewan
July 21 – A presentation on endangered species by the Meewasin Valley Authority
July 28 – A mobile museum from the Last Mountain Lake Migratory Bird Sanctuary
August 4 – A presentation on reptiles from the Sask Reptile Show
August 11 – The Ministry of Environment discusses fishing
August 18 – A presentation on bat ecology from the Meewasin Valley Authority
August 25 – Pond dipping with the Last Mountain Lake Migratory Bird Sanctuary
