A Preeceville woman is completing a university course requirement working to the end of the year as a practicum student at the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute.

Rayne Townsend of Preeceville is in her fourth year at the University of Regina, taking courses at Parkland College in Yorkton on her way to a bachelor of social work degree.

Looking forward to becoming a school guidance councillor, Townsend is working with several teachers at the KCI until the end of the year, when she expects to graduate with her degree.

An avid hunter who also enjoys fishing, as she says other members of her immediate family do, Townsend said that she spent much time last week canning, baking, pickling and making borscht.
