Town Museum Benefits from River Run

Funds to help Bounty Hall revitalization

The Outlook & District Heritage Museum was the recipient of a sizable donation on Friday, September 29 when Jocelyne Petryshyn (right) of RE/MAX Shoreline Realty presented Doreen Bell (left) with a cheque for $3200, which were proceeds from the recent River Run event that took place at the museum on September 9, held on the same day as the Harvest Festival.

The funds will help in the museum’s work towards revamping the old and iconic Bounty Hall that sits just beside the facility grounds.  Things are said to be moving forward, with progress coming along on hopefully opening the building soon.  Work on a wheelchair ramp is set to be done by local welders, and power is hooked up to the building, so money coming in will be used for inside lighting, plug-ins and window replacement.

It’s said that those behind the scenes of the building’s refurbishment would love to be able to use the Bounty Hall for this year’s Santa Claus Day event, and anyone interested in volunteering to help make this happen can contact Doreen at 306-867-9485, and she will put you in touch with the hall’s project managers.
