Kamsack residents participate in local protest convoy

A group of Kamsack residents exercised their freedom of speech during an organized protest convoy that circled throughout the streets of town

KAMSACK - An assortment of approximately 35 trucks, cars, and rigs assembled in downtown Kamsack on Saturday, January 29.

Beginning at 1 p.m. sharp, a large truck led the procession of a convoy including many other vehicles – most of which were adorned with Canadian flags and assorted signage.

The convoy circled throughout the streets of Kamsack as the sound of horns honking alerted residents to what was going on outside. Some residents stepped out in front of their homes and businesses to record the parade of vehicles on their cell phones, while some cheered and offered friendly waves or yelled words of support.

There was no presence of police at any time and the nature of the protest remained peaceful.
