Recently I visited with Bruce Frederickson of Theodore to talk about a project of his to recreate the grand home of Richard Seeman, one of the earliest settlers in the district. Seeman was a major influence in the region.

After a difficult defeat against Yorkton, the Kamsack Atom Flyers bounced back in fine fashion to gain a split of two games over the past weekend. On November 23, the Flyers hit the highway for the first road game of the year.

November 17 was minor hockey day in Kamsack. The Broda Sportsplex was jam-packed with players, coaches, families and fans for the entire day as all Flyers teams had a game to play throughout the day.

Kamsack continues to be a leading edge community with the opening of a new dental clinic in the same building as the town’s existing medical clinic.

The position of fire chief was left vacant in August when Cody Langlois resigned from the Kamsack Volunteer Fire Department (KVFD) to pursue other opportunities.

In 1984, the Irish Republican Army tried to kill British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher with a bomb. They did not succeed, but they did send a message. “You have to be lucky all the time. We only have to be lucky once.

On November 10 the Kamsack Peewee Flyers hosted the first home game of the hockey season versus the Melville Mavericks, and won in a real barn burner.

It was the season-opening game for the Kamsack Atom Flyers on Monday November 12 at the Broda Sportsplex. The home team welcomed the Preeceville Atom Pats and came away with a well-earned victory.

The 100 th anniversary of the end of World War One was acknowledged on November 11 during the Remembrance Day program held at Victoria School.

During the Remembrance Day program held at the Legion Hall on November 11, the 100 Bells of Peace were rung to commemorate the 100 th anniversary of the end of the First World War.
