Members of the Hiawatha Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star “were honoured” recently to host members of the grand family of Saskatchewan as well as members of the subordinate chapters of Saskatchewan for the official visit to Kamsack.

The Government of Saskatchewan removed the Provincial Sales Tax (PST) from feminine hygiene products, effective July 1. This follows the federal government’s recently-announced GST exemption for tampons, sanitary belts and napkins and menstrual cups.

The Yorkton Co-op, which operates a grocery store and a convenience store in Kamsack, has donated $5,100 towards a new CT Scan for the regional hospital in Yorkton.

In ancient times a Chinese farmer lost his only horse. The horse had bolted from the yard and was gone. His neighbours came by to sympathize with him. “Such bad luck that your horse is gone,” they said.
