The event was held on the last day of Fire Prevention Week and served as a thank you to the community while focusing on the need for residents to be aware of fire prevention.

The plan is for all the perimeter sidewalks to be replaced, with some connecting sidewalks to be added in the courtyard to allow for increased safety and accessibility for the Eaglestone community

The Friends of Madge Lake did some work to the pickleball courts this year, and is planning work on the basketball court, planting trees and enhancing the trail infrastructure.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority said it is planning to open four Alternate Level of Care (ALC) and one palliative care beds in the next month, contingent upon staffing levels.

Police said they received a report of a firearms discharge at a residence on The Key First Nation. Officers immediately responded and located an injured man. He was pronounced deceased by EMS at the scene.

Police received a report of a stolen vehicle, but then the complainant called back advising he forgot he parked his vehicle at a friend’s house and further police assistance was not required.

The theme of this year’s Kamsack and District Horticultural Society photo contest was flora, fauna and fungi of the local area.

Ann Kondratoff celebrated the big day on Oct. 7.

Hannah Pennell, daughter of Kim and Colleen of Kamsack, was named the Canada West Women’s Hockey Player of the Week on Oct. 4 and on Sept. 26 she was told that she was named to the 2021-22 Academic All-Canadian List.
