A 31-year-old Yorkton man is being held in custody for attempted murder following an incident in a residence on Parkview Road early Monday morning. Skylar Redstar was arrested shortly after 5 a.m. when police responded to a reported stabbing.

In the Sept. 7 edition of Yorkton This Week the Ukranian Orthodox Hall was incorrectly identified in the editorial. The newspaper apologizes for this errorr. It was also stated the hall was up for sale.

On February 25, 1954, a ceremony was held at the Legion Hall regarding the Legion’s donation of a respirator to the Yorkton Hospital. The evening was presided over by Mayor C.G. Langrill.

CP Rail has confirmed there has been a fatality on its tracks in Yorkton. On September 10, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a freight train struck an individual on the tracks near the Broadway Street crossing.
