Province approves SGI rate increase

The provincial government has approved a 1.03 per cent overall increase to Saskatchewan Auto Fund rates, along with rate rebalancing, and a 1.23 per cent surcharge on all rates for a one-year term. The new rates will take effect August 31, 2013.

Park sites getting electricity upgrade

Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Kevin Doherty has announced that 88 campsites will receive electrical service at Candle Lake Provincial Park and Greenwater Lake Provincial Park this year.

Senior programs get enhancements

Enhancements to the Seniors Income Plan (SIP) and the Personal Care Home Benefit (PCHB) will improve the quality of life for low income seniors in Saskatchewan. Benefit increases for both programs will go into effect on July 1, 2013.
