The Café served cereals and egg dishes, the regular ones as we know them today, but some were different, such as an Onion Omelet. Harry Bronfman owned the Balmoral Hotel in 1909. He specified that there was to be no loud talking, and profane language in the Café. There was a special invitation for the ladies: "If feeling fatigued, come and enjoy a delicious cup of tea." Also for young men: "If you had your best girl out, you can have a quiet lunch until 2:00 a.m."
