Biologist Myrna Pearman was one of the speakers at Saturday's Yellowhead Flyway Birding Trail Association symposium held on Saturday, April 26. She highlighted a recent research project in which geo-locator 'backpacks' were placed on several purple martin birds. Through the data that was collected, they were able to reconstruct the flights of 5 birds flight from the Ellis farm, north of Edmonton to Brazil and back.
