Yorkton RCMP seized 32 grams of crack and cocaine along with large amount of cash on November 28 after executing a search warrant at a Yorkton business.
Clint Lloyd of Pitt Meadows, BC and Alisha Pillay of Surrey, BC are charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime.
Street value of the confiscated drugs is estimated at $2,400 to $4,000. Sgt. Rob Laurent of the Yorkton municipal RCMP detachment said they had not counted the money as yet, but suspected it was more than $10,000.
The pair appeared separately in Yorkton provincial court on Monday. Lloyd was released on recognizance with $5,000 cash bail and conditions. He is not to be in Saskatchewan except for court appearances or with permission of a bail officer.
Pillay was also released, but with only $2,000 bail after her defence attorney argued hardship in coming up with the $5,000 requested by the federal crown.
Lloyd will appear again before a Yorkton judge on January 7. Pillay's next appearance is January 14.
