Perry Wishlow, General Manager of Churchbridge Credit Union presented a cheque for $3,000 to Ross Fisher, Executive Director, of The Health Foundation, to assist paying for a new CT scanner.

“The board of Churchbridge Credit Union is pleased to make this donation; everyone understands that having a CT scanner available in the regional hospital in Yorkton benefits everyone in this region. It is one of the main diagnostic tools the hospital has, and if it wasn’t in Yorkton then people would have to travel to Regina or Saskatoon. We want to help make sure that equipment is available for customers and employees and our friends and neighbors in this region, continued Mr. Wishlow.

“Having good healthcare available locally is a part of what makes a community strong and a good place to live, work and raise a family,” continued Mr. Wishlow. “Giving back to the community is built into Credit Unions; we allocate a portion of our pre-tax profits to make sure we invest back into our communities. It’s something we’ve always done and are proud to continue doing.”

“We are grateful for this donation and pleased that Churchbridge Credit Union is continuing to support our work. We need to raise a lot of money in this next month if we are to reach our deadline for buying the new CT scanner. This donation helps a lot.” said Ross Fisher.
