Congratulations, Marty Haubrick! Good job in the Juvenile Men's Under 14 singles skating at the Provincial Figure Skating Competition held in Humboldt on March 2 & 3. Marty won the silver medal for his performance. Congratulations also to Marty and his dance partner, Madison Tocher, who won silver medals in the Provincial Juvenile Dance Figure Skating Competitions that same weekend also in Humboldt. Marty is the son of Rhonda (McAlpine) and John Haubrick. Madison is the daughter of former Dubuc resident, Bradley Tocher and his wife, Simone, of Esterhazy.

Mervin Clark from the Morris Lodge at Bangor was a visitor in town on the weekend. His daughter, Tammy Clark Nuygen, of Cochrane, AB drove her Dad to Dubuc to visit with friends. She also accompanied him to a couple medical appointments. We hope you will be seeing more clearly very soon. Take care, Mervin.

More snowbirds have arrived back home since last week's news report: Alan and Betty Willway of Cowessess/Sunset Beach, Crooked Lake are back in Canada after spending most of the winter, 3 ½ months, at their trailer home down south. Marvin and Diane Horachek also are back after a 6 week winter holiday to the balmy southern states. We are glad you are all home safe and sound. We eagerly await hearing all about your warm winter holidays, though, we must say, you did pick a very cold week to return to God's country! Where the heck is spring?

There have been more birthday celebrations at coffee row this week. On Saturday, Sharon Clark bought coffee and baked a delicious carrot cake for all those in attendance. Her daughter, Tammy Clark Nuygen, from Cochrane, AB was home to help her celebrate and enjoyed visiting with everyone at coffee row. Howard Delorme was welcomed in for a coffee break from pushing snow. He was clearing the village streets with his truck and dozer blade. He especially had to clean up around the Memorial Hall in readiness for the Potashville Singles Dance being held Saturday evening. Even though the dance is sponsored by the Singles Club, they extend a warm welcome to any married couples that enjoy dancing to attend their get-togethers. On Tuesday morning, Joe Kaczur brought birthday cake and ice cream to share with everyone. A dozen or so coffee drinkers enjoyed the "free" coffee, as well. Thanx and best wishes for a happy, healthy year ahead, Sharon and Joe!

We bid farewell to Larry and Bridgette Duchek who have recently moved into Esterhazy. They were living in a trailer on Bernier street. We hope you will still visit Dubuc often. Good luck and much happiness in your new home.

There was a real good attendance at the Wellness Clinic held on Wednesday at The Hut. In fact, there was not enough time allotted for everyone who wished to see the nurse. This is a "very important service" for people in rural areas. We hope that the nurses will have more time available at future clinics so that everyone that needs their help can get an appointment and no one will be turned away.
