The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority (FCAA) is kicking off Financial Literacy Month this November by asking Saskatchewan families to take time to discuss responsible money management.
The FCAA will be providing information and links to free financial resources on Twitter and Facebook throughout November to help Saskatchewan families learn more about getting the most out of their money.
“We urge Saskatchewan people of all ages to take advantage of the information and free tools available and set aside time this month to discuss the importance of financial literacy with their families,” FCAA Chair and CEO Roger Sobotkiewicz said.
Financial literacy encompasses a wide range of topics such as properly managing credit, creating a budget and knowing what to watch out for when buying a home or vehicle.
Consumers have an increasing amount of financial options and services to choose from, and it’s more important than ever to learn how to make responsible financial decisions.
