The Health Foundation's campaign raising funds for surgical and maternity equipment for the Regional Health Centre in Yorkton, took a step forward with a $2,500 donation from Yorkton Concrete today.

"This equipment is needed, and if The Health Foundation raises the money to put this new equipment in place it will improve our local health services, and I think that's something we all want to see. "We think it's important that we all do what we can to help improve our local healthcare and that's why we are making this contribution today, said Guy Gendreau.

"This is equipment our doctors want," said Ross Fisher, Executive Director of The Health Foundation. "With the new equipment recovery times from some surgeries will lessen as Sunrise surgeons will be able to perform more laparoscopic surgery; modern equipment in our operating rooms increases patient safety; it will be easier to retain and recruit surgeons with new equipment; and, patient outcomes from some surgeries will improve with the new equipment."
