Locals attend baby shower

At the Last Whist Drive the winners were on the ladies side 1st high David Korb, 2nd Elsie Baumung, Low Mary Sobkow and Mildred Danylko took the travelling prize.

At the Last Whist Drive the winners were on the ladies side 1st high David Korb, 2nd Elsie Baumung, Low Mary Sobkow and Mildred Danylko took the travelling prize. On the men's side it was 1st high Leo Bangle, 2nd Nick Antony, low Allen Molnar, and Nick Antony took the travelling prize. Pot of gold winners were 1st Mildred Danylko, 2nd Mary Sobkow, 3rd Allen Molnar.

Sympathy is extended to the Baumung Family on the passing of Wilma Baumung.

Wilma and her late husband George Baumung Farmed in the Gartmore area. They raised their family of five girls and two boys in the area. Wilma was a very hard working farmer's wife. She was very dedicated to the Lutheran Church. Helped out in whatever the Church had going on.

Welcome home to Peter and Anna Raml. They went on a vacation to Austria on the April 6 and came back on the April 30. They visited with their daughter and family and other cousins and old neighbours while they were there.

Visiting Nick and Marjory Antony were Andrew and Lena Antony from Yorkton.

About 30 guests came out to the Zorra center to shower baby Nickolas Sobkow with gifts. Nickolas is the son of Ivan and Regina Sobkow from Stroughton.

Some of the guests were Nickola's grandmother Sharon Sobkow, Sharon's mother Mrs Romanuik and her sister. Grandmother Anna Raml and many other relatives and friends and neighbours.

Nickola's Aunties Alexandra and Michelle Raml did a very good job of entertaining the guests and serving the lunch. Regina thanked everyone for coming and for the lovely gifts.

We are having some moisture now in the form of both rain and snow. The yards are all wet again but that's ok as we could use the moisture.
