Guided by a new strategic plan, Parkland College is beginning 2017 with a renewed emphasis on serving the needs of its students this year and beyond.
The new plan dictates the College’s education and training priorities to 2020. Key efforts will enhance the learning experience, strengthen quality programs and instruction, and build successful careers.
In this regard, Parkland College continues to offer a diverse mix of training options close to home. Students can complete full fouryear university degrees in nursing, education, or social work without having to relocate — or take the first year of a wider range of degrees at Parkland College
to get a feel for university- level studies. Meanwhile, a variety of skills training and trades certificates and diplomas provide real world hands-on training
and links with employers who are looking to hire College graduates.
“Our unique learning environment and small class sizes are very attractive to many students, whether they’re fresh out of high school or looking to change careers,” said Parkland College President Dwayne Reeve. “Here, our learners are able to flourish and build a foundation for lifelong success.”
Most of the College’s programs begin in the fall. Applications are already being accepted for the 2017-2018 year. To find out more about the many options available to students close to home, visit parklandcollege.sk.ca.
