Know the Risks - know what types of emergencies typically happen in your area so that nothing comes as a surprise. This will allow you to have the proper plan in place and all of the necessary supplies to protect yourself and your family.

Prepare an Emergency Kit - In an emergency you and your family may need to survive without power or running water. Having a kit with basic supplies will help you to be self-sufficient until emergency services or other supports arrive.
