Safety ministers meet in Ottawa to discuss crime

"Our government is committed to ensuring the safety and security of Saskatchewan people," Huyghebaert said. "I look forward to meaningful discussions with my federal counterpart on a wide range of issues. I am confident that by working together we can help improve safety in our province and across Canada."

Potential expansion of the peacekeepers policing model for First Nations communities in Saskatchewan, anti-gang and organized crime initiatives and proposed amendments to the federal Youth Criminal Justice Act are among some of the agenda topics being discussed by the Ministers.
