Mark your calendar for the Annual "Spirit of Christmas in Carols" Sun., Dec. 2 at 1:30 p.m. This is held at Saltcoats and District Community Hall. A free will donation basket at the door goes to the town of Saltcoats and is appreciated if any who can, may contribute to the Christmas baking for refreshment time. If anyone wishes to assist in the tree decorating at the hall Thurs., Nov. 29 or 30, call 744-2977 (Sandra).
Notice that Senior Coffee is cancelled for Monday morning, Nov. 26, due to prep for Library Soup, Sandwich and Dessert. This annual fundraiser is a great way to enjoy homemade soup, meet the neighbours and support our local library.

The fifty or so Remembrance Day attendees are commended for digging themselves out to pay respects for all who serve. A meaningful service was held and fellowship time had the usual great potluck table.

It has been noted that sometimes Moms or Dads or Grandparents just need a different place to take the kids for a place to play, read, color or engage in some other activities. At the Saltcoats Session Meeting it was decided to offer our United Church Basement area for people interested in this. No obligations other than to leave everything clean and put away. It could be for a family, two or three parents and their children or for a somewhat structured group or different possibilities on different days.
Bredenbury Lions Club is sponsoring "Share the Warmth" campaign. Share your gently used toques, scarves, mitts, sweaters and jackets. Collection boxes are at Saltcoats School and Town of Saltcoats until Nov. 30.
Saltcoats Library Annual Christmas Hamper Raffle tickets will be available on Mon., Nov. 26 at the Noon Lunch at the Stirling Room.
