This picture features "Smilin' Johnnie and his Prairie Pals" performing in the studio on the CJGX Sunbeam Show in Yorkton in 1946. Smilin' Johnnie and his wife Eleanor Dahl entertained for 60 years across Canada. They were home-based artists. They published a book about the story of Smilin' Johnnie entitled Eight Miles North .... One Mile East of Wroxton. Refer to their Web site Hillbilly Music.com.
