Parkland Regional Library Annual meeting on May 1st saw the RM #213 Pam Hall (on Parkland board as well) and Sandra Kerr from Town of Saltcoats, representatives who were very pleased that there will be no cutting of library hours. Both reps went to the meeting with their council's approval of a levy increase for this community service. It is noted that there is no summer reading program budget this year as the focus is on SILS (Saskatchewan Information and Library Services Consortium) "1 Province, 1 Library Card". This province wide library upgrade will have many benefits for patrons.
