On June at 1, at approximately 3:30 P.M Weyburn RCMP, fire and EMS responded to a three vehicle collision on Highway #13 approximately 11 miles east of Weyburn.
Two of the vehicles were travelling east bound and one vehicle was travelling west bound.
The RCMP are working with the coroners office to identify the occupants of one of the vehicles. That vehicle was engulfed by flames. We can confirm two fatalities at the scene.
The names of the individuals are not being released at this time.
In addition, early in the morning of June 2, Weyburn RCMP responded to a semi tractor trailer rollover also on Highway #13 approximately 8 miles west of Weyburn.
The Semi is carrying butane. There is no spill or leakage and efforts to clean up the site of this incident will be occurring at approximately 10:00 a.m this morning (June 2) which will result in the closure of Highway #13 for a period of time.
Traffic travelling this portion of Highway #13 will be re-routed for a few hours.
