Assault

A Yorkton nightclub was once again the site of an alleged assault resulting in serious injuries over the weekend.

A woman received cuts and contusions on her face at the City Limits Inn that required treatment at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre.

A police investigation led to charges for two Yorkton women, Ashley Wilson and Kendra Potzus

The injuries were  made with what police are calling a “weapon of opportunity,” likely a broken glass or bottle that was used to slash the victim.

Wilson faces one count of aggravated assault while Potzus was charged with common assault.

Both Wilson and Potzus were released on a police recognizance, but the RCMP did not release the conditions of that undertaking.

Both suspects are scheduled to appear in Yorkton Provincial Court November 23.
