YORKTON - The 2023 TheatreOne Festival takes to the Sacred Heart High School stage Wednesday through Saturday this week in Yorkton.

TheatreOne is Theatre Saskatchewan’s annual short-play festival, and is being hosted locally by Paper Bag Players.

The four-day event will feature performances by five theatre groups, kicking off Wednesday will the Paper Bag Players doing The Most Dangerous Game, written by Burton Bumgarner and directed by Teresa Weber. The cast and crew include Ray Stokes, Sandy Stokes, Kelly Kacsmar, Vince Thiessen, Christine Bradley, Jennifer Maier and. Justin Kacsmar.

Other theatre groups performing will be from Regina, Battlefords and Prince Albert.

The event wraps up Saturday with the performance of a play workshopped throughout the event and followed by the presentation of awards.

The play will be only one of a number of production and educational workshops.

Tickets for the event are $50 for all four days, or $15 per day, which includes admission to nightly after parties at the Masonic Lodge. Tickets are available through paperbagplayers.com, or at the door.
