The Cab Clothing Yorkton Regional High School Female Athlete of the Month for November is Taylor Harris. Taylor is presently in Grade 10. She has been active in the sport of volleyball, first playing for the Yorkton Atomic Program and later moved up to the Yorkton Blitz Club Volleyball team. Taylor has been playing for three years with the club and is very excited to start her fourth season with her coach and teammates. Last year, her 16U Blitz team finished fourth place in the province. In her first year at YRHS, Taylor played on the grade nine volleyball team, with her coach and teammates they achieved first place at district finals. She also received the "Most Dedicated" player award. This year, Taylor is playing on the YRHS Senior Volleyball team. Having a busy athletic schedule and social life she has managed and earned to be on academic honor roll. Outside of school, she works part time at Staples Business Centre, and likes spending time with friends & family, snowboarding, playing softball, quadding and sledding. Harris also has her volleyball refereeing papers and helps out with the junior volleyball games. Taylor looks forward to continuing to work hard whether its playing volleyball for both school and Blitz teams, her studies or at any other activities along with her part time job. She would like to thank all her coaches and teammates for helping her progress as an athlete.
The Cab Clothing Yorkton Regional High School Male Athlete of the Month for November is Dalton Fichtner. Dalton played football from Grade 9 - 12 and was the quarterback. He received MVP for the Moose Jaw Football League and it was announced that he had the Best Hair in the League! Dalton also plays hockey with the Springside Rec Hockey team. He is an honour roll student, attends church and is part the church youth group. He is an active part of the community. Congratulations Dalton!
