Southern Saskatchewan's Women of Distinction Awards take place May 6th at Regina's Conexus Arts Centre. One of Yorkton's graduating students will sit among the nominees at the gala that night.

The Calder Seniors held their whist drive on Sat., April 10, at the Good Neighbour Centre. The winners of the whist drive were 1st Gordon Kahut, 2nd Allan Molnar, 3rd Jack Miller, low Arnold Balabuk.

Yorkton Regional High School students have been traveling the province and the country to attend debate and model legislature events. After arriving home in Yorkton, they shared their favourite moments as public speakers.

By 1962, Inter Ocean Elevator Company had constructed a 55,000 bushel capacity elevator pictured here to the far left. Saskatchewan Pool Elevator Company had purchased the Lake of the Woods elevator, and named their elevators "A" and "B".

At the last whist drive in Zorra the winners on the ladies side were Marlene Balabuck 1st high David Korb 2nd, Anna Fyck low, Gladys Tkatchuk travelling.

Bringing a style the artist describes as "experimental folk rock", Megan Hamilton hits 5th Ave Cup & Saucer May 16. Hamilton said her style grew out of varied musical interests.
