Gordon Wyant stopped in Yorkton last week to meet with potential voters and attend a meeting on urban municipalities. Wyant, who is running for leader of the Saskatchewan Party, visited Yorkton on Oct. 3.

A major musician will be gracing the stage in Yorkton early next year. Country music star Brett Kissel will be performing at the Painted Hand Casino on January 31, 2018. Tickets went on sale Oct. 6. They cost $45. It is a 19-and-older show.

Yorkton Crossing Retirement Community will be extending a helping hand to the those in need this winter by collecting gently used clean winter apparel. The Warm up to Winter Blitz will begin on Oct 16 and run thru to Oct 30.
