It is my privilege and pleasure to extend greetings on behalf of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of Canada, as we celebrate this special time of year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our men and women in uniform.

The finale of Painted Hand Casino’s 20th Anniversary celebrations involved handing out $20,000 in cash on the evening of December 14.

Christmas often brings out the best in people. We open our hearts. We look for opportunities to give. But what is really amazing is the number of people who keep this Christmastime spirit alive the entire year.

A Yorkton judge has excluded evidence in a drug trafficking case based on a Charter violation and acquitted the 28-year-old suspect on all charges. At a hearing December 20, Judge Ross Green recapped the evidence against Dustin Kennedy.

The RCMP has charged a Yorkton man and woman with cocaine trafficking after executing a search warrant on a residence in the city. Christopher Sharpe (32) is charged with one count each trafficking and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Clients at Safe Haven will be enjoying some wild meat meals over the holidays thanks to a donation made to the local women’s shelter by the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN).
