The City of Yorkton's Logan Green Water Management System has won a Utility Excellence Award for Innovative Technologies in the medium/small utility category.

Local roofer fined

Mike Molnar, owner and operator of a privately owned roofing company in Yorkton pleaded guilty to one charge under The Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, 1996. Mr. Molnar was fined $23,800 in Yorkton Provincial Court on December 4, 2013.

The official kick-off for the 2014 East Seals Snowarama in Yorkton was held recently. The 38th annual event raises funds to help youth attend Camp Easter Seal each summer, youth like 2014 event ambassador Brooke Perepeluk.
