April was a very busy month for the Calder Yalenka Dance Club. The club went to a few competitions and in between we had our Spring Concert. The Community Hall was full of families, friends and community members and surrounding area.

The powwow is important to First Nations people and Shanon Crook, the Aboriginal Community Worker at Dr. Brass School is trying to help students connect with that aspect of their culture.

Children in Southeast Saskatchewan are not reaching school age with the skills one would expect in some key educational areas.
