The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) has committed $100,000 for relief efforts in addition to volunteering and fundraising to help Saskatchewan forest fire evacuees.

Friday evening at the Staple’s parking lot held a vast array of classic muscle cars and modern sports cars. The show, a precursor to cruise night, brought out families, singles, couples and even animals.

The Government of Saskatchewan is investing nearly $700,000 in a new beach service centre at Moose Mountain Provincial Park. Work has already begun on the new service centre, which will provide public washroom and shower facilities.

Inspection and maintenance of nearly 70,000 wooden power poles in Yorkton and area will take place until September. SaskPower has begun annual inspection and maintenance on its wood power poles in several areas of the province.

Jackie Guy wants to take another step in her music career, and she is hoping crowd funding can help her take it.

Jake Ian is on tour across western Canada, and Joe Beeverz Bar and Grill in Yorkton is on the schedule. “The Yorkton show is part of a 25 show tour of western Canada. It is actually the last show of the tour,” said Ian.
