Brent McKee of Arborfield pled guilty to the charge of theft over $5,000 from the beehive thefts in May.
The 47 year-old man was accused of stealing 148 beehives worth around $60,000.
The bees were stolen between May 10 and May 13 from a beekeeper near Zenon Park.
The plea was made July 25 at Carrot River Provincial Court.
McKee was represented by George Green, who appeared by phone, entering his guilty plea.
Sentencing has been adjourned for Aug. 22 in Carrot River.
A restitution report was ordered for the sentencing.
The report would cover the cost of the bees recovered versus the bees that weren’t recovered.
