More than $8,500 worth of scholarships were presented to the students during the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute Class of 2016 academic ceremonies on June 29. Larissa Puk was presented with the Ruth cooper Memorial Scholarship of $500.

Visiting Arnold and Sheila Vickers and family were Kent and Sandy Ritchie of Swift Current. They were on their way to attend their granddaughter’s Graduation.

Students at the Sturgis Elementary School will be relocating to the Sturgis Composite High School in the fall of 2017.

Following the success of their first collaboration disc, Twin Fiddles, which garnered a Western Canadian Music Award nomination, has released a second album.

The Crossroads Credit Union acknowledged two students from the Preeceville Elementary School for their outstanding efforts. Doreen Bochnuik, representative from the Crossroads Credit Union, made the presentations on June 27.

Jesse Stoudt, a 2015 Sturgis Composite High School graduate, was presented the Governor General’s Medal for academics by Brad Cameron, principal, at the school on June 28.
