To address the dwindling interest in junior curling in the Canora area, a curling clinic was organized for January 10 and the organizer was pleasantly surprised when 28 youth signed up from Canora, Preeceville, Sturgis, Norquay, Kamsack and Yorkton.

New charges laid against Matychuk

Jason Matychuk, 30, of Canora, who was arrested in 2014 on charges of sexual interference with a person under the age of 16 and possession of child pornography, was back in Provincial Court in Yorkton on January 11 facing similar new charges.
