The Kamsack Times weekly community newspaper is now available on the Internet. This newspaper, which was established in 1908, is one of the last remaining community newspapers owned by Glacier Media Group with an Internet presence.

Children and adults found it to be a treat to be introduced to the fun, high energy and creative story telling style of Kevin Mackenzie when he entertained at Norquay, Pelly, Sturgis and Preeceville on November 26 and 27.

Now into its fourth year, the Togo After-School Program recently received funding of $1,900 from Affinity Credit Union. On behalf of Affinity, Georgina Harambura of Runnymede, presented the cheque to program organizers.

Last week Kamsack residents were circulating an Internet website address that includes access to 40 old photographs of Kamsack, some of which had never been seen by current residents. It’s called Images of Prairie Towns and it is located at www.

A new program designed to get young children and their parents active began in Kamsack on Friday. Called Let’s Get Moving, the program is an initiative of the Town of Kamsack, Victoria School and the Kamsack Family Resource Centre.

The Norquay branch of the CIBC has made a presentation of $2,500 to the Assiniboine Valley Health Centre in Kamsack.
